Geting Married in the Mater Dei Chapel
While Catholic weddings normally take place in the parish church of the bride and/or groom, such weddings may take place in the Mater Dei Chapel with the permission of the pastor of the parish to which the bride and/or groom belong.
To be married at the Mater Dei Chapel, either one or both parties should be a practicing Catholic.
The Chapel is currently available for the use of:

An alumna/alumnus of the University

A current student at the University
-
A faculty or staff member at of the University or their daughter/son.
Cost
Rental cost for the use of the Mater Dei Chapel is
$675 for Mount students and alumni, and current employees and members of their immediate family.
A refundable $100 damage deposit is
also collected at the time of booking.
A $400 nonrefundable deposit is required to
confirm the reservation.
Cost includes 3 hours of chapel use for the ceremony (including one hour for a rehearsal).
Use of dressing rooms for the bride and bridesmaids as well as the groom and groomsmen is also provided, as is the parking structure for guest parking.
